All rights reserved.Beside being one of the substantial texts of Turkic epic tradition, The Epic of Oghuz Khagan written with Uighur script, is also an important source for Turkic language. Not only because of its original content but also in point of linguistic features this epic has differed from the other historical texts of Turkic. The Epic of Oghuz Khagan with Uighur script is also richer than the other contemporary texts in respect to Mongolian words which it contains. In this paper; the Mongolian words in the Epic of Oghuz Khagan with Uigur script have been detected, their witnesses in that text have been demonstrated and the existence of these words in the other texts of Turkic and in Mongolian have been examined.
