Özet

Chromite is an indispensable mineral in modern industrial applications. It plays a critical role in many

areas, from stainless steel production to metal coating, from wood protection to catalyst production.

Due to its properties such as high durability, corrosion resistance and chemical stability, chromite is

considered an essential component in many areas of industry. Therefore, chromite mining and

processing is of great importance to the world economy and industry.

The use of MODSIM in ore beneficiation studies enables processes to be analyzed and optimized in

detail. This increases operating efficiency, cost effectiveness and environmental sustainability. It also

supports the training and development of operators and engineers, minimizing risks and strengthening

strategic decision-making processes.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the operating efficiency of JIG by performing different

separation intensities in the JIG unit used in the chromite enrichment facility. In addition, simulation

studies were carried out on different separation densities used in JIG studies in MODSIM using facility

data. In the light of the data obtained, it was determined that the parameters changed on the JIG did not

have much effect on the separation. However, this study has shown that parameter changes in MODSIM

affect the JIG simulation.
