Özet

Grinding is a procedure that involves more than just crushing; it also brings about a chemical reaction on the mineral's surface. In this study, the flotation behavior of wet and dry milled pure pyrite samples with similar particle size distributions in the same type of grinding system was examined. Microflotation experiments of wet and dry ground pyrite samples were done in the microflotation cell. Results were evaluated based upon recovery and grade. Preliminary results showed that dry grinding has advantages over wet grinding. Possible reasons behind this were discussed.
