Abstract

Bacillary angiomatosis is an infectious disease characterized by vascular proliferations in the skin and/or visceral organs of typically manifests in immunocompromised patients. The diagnosis of the entity is difficult as the clinical features of the lesions is similar to pyogenic granuloma. In this report, a case of basillary angiomatosis developed secondary to a nonspesific trauma, misdiagnosed and operated as pypgenic granuloma will be discussed. The importance of this lesion for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is it can be misdiagnosed as Kaposi's sarcoma or Pyogenic granuloma clinically.
