Abstract

Walnut is a popular and economically important species, but vegetative propagation by budding or cutting is quite difficult. In this study propagation in vitro was tested. Meristems, shoot tips, and axillary buds were taken from seedlings of J. regia 2 April 1993. Modified MS medium with 0.5 mg/L Benzyl amino purine (BAP) was used as shoot growing medium and 1 mg/L BAP as shoot poliferation medium.
