Özet

In the present study, exergetic analysis of a commercially available air source heat pump water heater (HPWH) is performed for improvement of thermal performance of the components. The optimization of heat transfer areas of HPWH is checked theoretically. The analysis depending on the first and second laws yields the powerful and weak sides of the design of commercially available heat pump water heater. According to first law analysis condenser is the most critical heat exchanger in the system and also at the side of second law analysis condenser is the component, which exposed to maximum exergy loss of 73.206.
