In this paper, we study the sound wave propagation along a duct system with coaxial-circular-coaxial parts. The problem is broken into two separate bifurcated waveguide problems and they are solved by applying Fourier integral transform to the Helmholtz equations and boundary conditions, thus, reducing the problems into solving certain Wiener-Hopf equations. After applying classical Wiener-Hopf procedure and inverse Fourier transform, the scattering parameters are determined. Finally, the resulting scattering parameters are brought together by the use of the building block method so that the reflection and transmission phenomena in the original problem is understood. The results are also presented graphically.
