The atmospheric-pressure plasma jets and their applications discussed here are a topic of great interest in physics. Plasma generated in this study can be described as the dielectric barrier discharge (DBD). The atmospheric pressure plasma jets of Ar + H-2 and Ne H-2 gas mixtures are generated using AC-power supply with different frequencies and voltages at room temperature. Ultraviolet visible spectrum (UV-Vis) and vibrational-Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrum (FT-IR) of 5-cloro-3-(2-(4-methylpiperazine-141)-2-oxoethyl)benzoldjthiazole2(3H)-on drug molecule (abbreviated as 5KPB) prepared with ethanol and methanol solvents have been analysed after applying (application time, 60s) the different mixture plasmas. Also the changes of molecular structure are examined and the modes of vibrations for the 5KPB molecule dissolved in ethanol and methanol solutions before and after the atmospheric-pressure plasma treatment (APPT) are investigated. The bathochromic shift of the electronic transitions corresponding to bands is generally observed pi-pi* transitions. The UV-Vis spectra are observed at 267 nm of 5KPB molecule after APPTs and in addition to this, it is obvious that the absorbance values have been changed with plasma effect. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V.
