Özet

Facing significant labour shortages, the nursing field needs effective approaches to provide a supportive work environment. This study explores the impact of transformational leadership practices on employee attitudes including job satisfaction, organisational commitment, and organisational trust among nurses in Turkey. A cross-sectional survey design was used in this correlational study. Data were collected among registered nurse practitioners working at governmental hospitals in Turkey. The study results indicate that transformational leadership practices provided organisational support and positively influenced employee attitudes of job satisfaction, organisational commitment, and organisational trust. This study identifies organisational dynamics that would foster a paradigm shift in nursing. Transformational leadership is an effective approach to nursing administration in both engaging in organisational transformation as well as creating a culture to enhance nursing practices. Implications for human resources are also discussed.
