Aim: The aim of this study was to determine nurses' perceptions about nursing students and academic staff involved in clinical practice. Design: The present qualitative study was conducted in a descriptive phenomenological design used COREQ checklist Methods:. The study was performed during June 2019–August 2019, including 15 volunteer nurses in Turkey. The data of the study were collected using a nurse introduction form, semi-structured interview form, and a voice recorder. Data analysis was performed using MAXQDA program. Results: The study data were evaluated under two theme: Nurses' perceptions about students and Nurses' perceptions about nursing academic staff. During the theming stage, Nursing National Core Education Program and resources related to education and training were used. In the first theme, opinions were reported 144 times on the psychomotor, 77 times on motivation, 96 times on student behavior, whereas in the other theme, negative opinions 52 times and positive opinions 14 times were commonly reported. Conclusions: Nurses indicated that students were excluded from clinical practice, there was a lack of control, students were left alone in the clinic.
