Sulphurous concrete is a special type of
concrete consisting modified sulphurous cement and aggregate, produced without
water. In this type of concrete, the bonding property is obtained by the
combination of cement and sulfur. Initial developments in sulphurous concrete
technology have been found in studies conducted in the 1970s. Mostly, the
scientists studied on the advantages of sulphurous concrete. As a result of the
studies, it was observed that the sulphurous concrete with high strength, high
chemical resistance and low permeability can be produced in a short time
period. In this study, the results of the literature about the properties of
sulphurous concrete were evaluated to lead new studies in Turkey.
