Özet

The most important feature of a reinforced concrete structure is its ability to maintain performance until the end of its service life. Here, the performance of both concrete and reinforcing steel is important. When the reinforced concrete structure is examined, it is seen that it consists of reinforcing steel and surrounding concrete. If this concrete cover can sufficiently surround and protect the steel, it can work together for many years. Concrete casting and maintenance in accordance with the rules, keeping the concrete permeability at the lowest level, leaving enough Concrete cover, making the appropriate curing, water / cement ratio are the main features sought for concrete quality. The quality of concrete, working with reinforcing steel and non-corroding of the reinforcement are very important for its performance life. In addition, the concrete produced must fulfill its duty against corrosion. As a result of material and workmanship defects, the concrete, which is in a high permeable state, becomes exposed to external influences, breathing more oxygen, water and chloride into it and its alkali structure may deteriorate more rapidly. In the researches, it was observed that the biggest problem occurred as a result of the damage caused by the corroded reinforcement to the concrete. If the concrete surface deforms, it becomes more open to external factors. As a result of the negative effects of external factors, the building element fills the service life with great speed. Structures whose service life has expired or decreased have been exposed to all kinds of danger and carry a great risk in life. Thanks to the measures that can be taken to reduce these effects in reinforced concrete structural elements, the life of the building can be kept at the desired levels.
