Lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma, one of the rare neoplasms of the urinary bladder, is composed of malignant epithelial component and dense lymphocytic infiltration. It was first reported in 1991. Because of the long-term survival of the cases without radical surgery and an effective response to chemotherapy, differential diagnosis gains importance in this tumor. The cases that we are going to report are a 59-year-old man and a 72-year-old woman who presented with hematuria. In both cases, a mass was observed in the bladder and radical surgery was performed after transurethral resection (TUR). Gross examination revealed an ulcerated mass, 4 cm in dimension on the right wall of the first case and a 2-cm-long axis ulcerated mass was observed on the left anterolateral wall of the bladder of the second case. Both tumors were diagnosed as lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma after thorough histopathologic evaluation. Histopathologic and immunohistochemical characteristics of the lymphoepithelioma-like carcinoma of bladder were discussed. Copyright © 2006 by Türkiye Klinikleri.
