Migration has had a great impact on population dynamics of Turkey for decades. The aim of this research is to examine the socio-economic and cultural features of the people who settled down in the city centers of Tarsus, Antalya and Fethiye by migration. The research is conducted within the framework of phenomenology which has its place in the qualitative research methods. One hundred and thirty six people, who live in the city centers of Tarsus, Antalya and Fethiye, constitute the sample of the research. Data are collected by 'semi-constructed interview form' that is prepared by researchers. The results of the study were analyzed by use of content analyses procedure. Also, some of the data are converted into statistical findings and these data are expressed with frequency and percentage. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
