In this paper, utilization of fly ash as a value added product in areas such as novel materials, waste management, fillers and agriculture is reviewed with the aim of helping the expand of the usage of fly ash and reduce the environmental and economic impacts of disposal. The used unburned carbon benefication/treatment methods such as low temperature combustion, froth flotation, partical size classification and electrostatic separations to remove unburned carbon particles from fly ash are also discussed.
