Özet

This study presents a comprehensive evaluation of methylene blue (MB) removal using hydrothermally synthesized 1 T metallic VS2 adsorbents. Among samples synthesized at 120-200 degrees C, VS2-200 exhibited optimal structural purity, a BET surface area of 10.97 m2 g- 1, high MB removal efficiencies (95-100%), and a maximum monolayer adsorption capacity (qmax) of 53.19 mg g- 1. Equilibrium data were fitted to Langmuir, Freundlich, and Temkin models, while kinetics were best described by the pseudo-second-order model alongside intraparticle diffusion. For VS2-200, adsorption was enhanced under alkaline conditions via electrostatic attraction. Furthermore, VS2-200 maintained stability across varying ionic strengths, retained over 90% capacity after regeneration, and demonstrated high cationic selectivity in binary dye (MB/ Methyl Orange, MO) tests. In conclusion, metallic 1T-VS2-200 exhibits promising features as an energy-free, dark-active adsorbent for potential utilization in water decontamination processes.
