Abstract

The quartic B-spline collocation algorithm is set up to find the numerical solution of the nonlinear Schrodinger equation. The method is tested on the problems of the single soliton solution, interaction of two colliding solitons, and the birth of soliton. Results are compared with some other published numerical results. The accuracy of scheme is discussed by computing numerical conserved laws, and L-2, L-infinity error norms.
