Abstract

Along with being one of the expert researchers and scientists in the field of new Turkish literature, Mehmet Kaplan has made important contributions to the fields of Turkish language, folk literature, and classical Turkish literature since he has an aggregate understanding of Turkish history, culture, and literature. This study covers Kaplan's thoughts, opinions, critiques on classical Turkish literature and related issues in his essays published in his books and various journals.
