Özet

The purpose of this study was to adapt the Conflict Activity Styles Inventory (Johnson & Johnson, 2008) to the Turkish language and to do validity and reliability studies. Six different sample groups have been included in this study. Thirty English language specialists for the first sample, 30 Turkish language specialists for the second sample, 35 English language and literature students for the third sample, 35 guidance and psychological counselors for the fourth sample, 241 university students for fifth sample, and 42 university students for the last sample were included. First of all, the CASI items have been translated to the Turkish language and the translation validity has been investigated. After that, language and content validities, item-total and item-rest correlations, item-differentiation, internal consistency and halves reliabilities, the correlations between subtests and test-retest reliability coefficients of the Turkish CASI were analyzed. The findings show that the Turkish CASI items highly coincide with the English CASI items. Additionally the pre-validity and reliability analyses results of the CASI were found to be at acceptable levels
