Özet

The paper presents the results of a part of a study dedicated to the potential of floating PV systems for application in Serbia. For the purpose of assessment, two artificial lakes in Serbia are analyzed, based on energy production, carbon emission reduction, evaporation reduction and resilience. The contribution of FPVS to clean electricity production and contribution to the resilient cities is analyzed. According to findings, selected reservoirs demonstrate high suitability for floating PV deployment, achieving strong performance across all evaluated indicators. Borsko Lake shows a slightly higher overall resilience score due to its greater energy generation potential and durability performance, while Lake Medjuvršje provides comparatively stronger hydrological benefits through enhanced evaporation reduction. Despite these differences, the results indicate that both sites offer substantial potential for clean electricity generation, carbon mitigation, and water conservation. Overall, the study confirms that floating PV systems can serve as an effective multi-functional solution supporting renewable energy expansion and climate-resilient urban and regional infrastructure in Serbia.
