When an external force is applied, it may become cracked and the structural weakness in the particle is called flow. The existence and structure of the flow in the particle determine the character of the break. From the Bond Work Index values, scientific approaches can be made about breakage of rocks and energy needs. This data can be taken into consideration in the design of the next ore preparation plant, the efficiency improvement can be achieved by carrying out improvement works in an established plant and it will be significantly affect costs. Bond grindability and uniaxial compressive strength tests were carried out on samples were taken from five different open pit operations which were exposed to blasting effect and not exposed to blasting effect within the scope of the study. As a result of the tests carried out in consideration of blasting parameters, it was determined that the values of Bond Work index and compressive strength decreased after blasting. The reasons for the changes in the values obtained based on all the blasting parameters are explained. The statistical relationship made for materials are revealed on the effects on the designs made on operation and comminution equipment.
