Abstract

Brodie abscess is a rare form of osteomyelitis. Diagnosis is usually delayed because of atypical presentation. Here, we aimed to report Brodie abscess localizing in the right distal tibia in a previously healthy boy who displayed no risk factors. Diagnosis was based on magnetic resonance imaging and bone biopsy. The patient was treated successfully with antibiotic therapy and surgical evacuation of the abscess.
