A 57-year-old patient receiving nasal oxygen therapy had a sudden burn on the facial developed acutely during nasal oxygen treatment. As there was no other fire factor around the burn was determined to be caused by static electricity. In this case report, it was emphasized that burns although rare, may be caused by static electricity, therefore, it should be taken into consideration and healthcare professionals and patients should be aware of the issue before it causes irreversible damage.
