Abstract

In this paper, we develop a novel surface impedance model to represent multilayer coatings on perfect electric conductors. The model has been tested on simple planes by analyzing the reflection and then applied on a circular waveguide with a partial multilayer dielectric coating. The waveguide problem is analyzed rigorously with Wiener–Hopf technique for TE waves. The results are compared with the ones determined by simulations and the efficiency criteria of the newly developed model is discussed.
