Hypericum bupleuroides Griseb. (Guttiferae)was collected from the north eastern region of Turkey. The aerial parts were subjected to microdistillation for the isolation of volatiles that were subsequently analyzed by GC and GC/MS. The investigation resulted in the characterization of 30 components representing 92% of the total volatiles. Sesquiterpenes such as beta-sesquiphellandrene (33.2%) and beta-caryophyllene (20.2%) were assigned as major compounds.
