Since the second half of the 20th century, especially with postmodernism, the traditional literary understanding undergoes a change. Both paving the way for the interdisciplinary studies, literature gets accelerated and in the field of literary criticism types of new approaches to literary works show up. In this sense, comparative literature, provides a basis for interdisciplinary studies and offers opportunities, to make criticisms possible for interdisciplenary studies. In this way, as important branches of the fine arts, literature and cinema, theater, painting, music, dance, sculpture and caricature can be brought together and enriched to develop a variety of very different perspectives, the literature can be brought together also with sociology, philosophy, psychology, anthropology, mythology, translation studies, ethnology, ethnopsychology, art history, etc... Intertextuality, in which literary works both in their own and as well as with other literary works interact, intersemiotic, in which exchanges take place between various artistic forms and intermedia, in which by deleting the understanding,of the traditional media and types of art, with the presenting the content of the literary work in the context of a media system or as a mixture of narration types are in these approaches quite important. Thanks to the interdisciplinary studies, literature interacts with different art forms and disciplines and this interaction offers the opportunity to interpret literature with an interdisciplinary perspective. The aim of this study is to analyze Dan Brown's Angels and Demons and Ron Howard's the same called film adaptation in the frame of intersemiotic and intermedia. In the context of the subject in this study, Vatikan, coalesced with history and Christianity, Catholic Church and the outcomes of church-science hostility and also four elements, illuminate the path of science will be tried to analyzed with the above named approaches on the symbolic dimension through written and visual descriptions.
