Abstract

Objective: Due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, the peptide ghrelin has a protective effect in a variety of tissues. Antioxidant properties of ghrelin have been recently reported in various types of oxidative stress. Therefore, we designed this study to explore the antioxidative effects of ghrehn in acute liver injury induced by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) in rats.
