Özet
Aim: Aim: The levels of calcium, magnesium, parathormone and total vitamin D (25-0H vitamin D) in plasma of 1166 patients were retrospectively compared using the laboratory information system (LIS) Material and Methods: The study was conducted between 01.03.2014 and 01.03.2015. 1166 patients (919 women and 247 men) whose normal renal, parathyroid and other metabolic functions were accepted in Celal Bayar University Hafsa Sultan Hospital Department of Medical Biochemistry. Serum calcium and magnesium levels were studied in the Siemens Advia 1800 autoanalyzer. Serum Parathormone levels were measured in the Siemens Centaur XP autoanalyzer and total vitamin D levels were measured in the Roche Cobas e411 autoanalyzer and the results were compared retrospectively using LIS. Descriptive statistics (mean + SD, minimum, maximum) of the obtained data were calculated. Pearson correlation test was applied in the correlation analysis of the variables. Statistical significance level was taken as p <0.005. Statistical analyzes were performed using the SPSS (Version 15.0) package program. Results: In the analysis of correlation between age and biochemical parameters of 1164 patients in our study, all parameters except magnesium decreased as age increased. There is a statistically significant relationship between age, calcium, magnesium and total vitamin D in the negative direction, respectively (r = -0.251 p = 0.000, r = -0.081, r = -0.151 p = 0.000). There is a strong and significant correlation between age and parathormone in the positive direction. (R = 0.400 p = 0.000). When the relationships between sex and biochemical parameters are examined; The mean values of all parameters except parathormone were found to be significantly low in women. The parathormone mean was higher in women (p = 0.000) Conclusions: In our study, calcium, magnesium and total vitamin D levels were low in women. There are statistically significant relationships between age and calcium, magnesium and total vitamin D, respectively, in the negative direction. There is a strong and significant correlation between age and parathormone in the positive direction.
