BACKGROUND: Intestinal ischemia is a serious and common clinical status. It develops as result of superior mesenteric artery (SMA) obstruction caused by many etiologic factors. Sepsis and multiple organ failure could develop following intestinal ischemia. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of ligustrazin, which has a vasodilator impact on intestinal ischemia.
