Özet

© 2022 IEEE.In this study, a rail vehicle motion simulation (RVMS) is presented, which takes into account the operational constraints as well as the characteristics of the rail vehicle and the railway. Moreover, the comfort parameter was included to the simulation model to increase passenger satisfaction. In order to verify how accurately the developed RVMS can simulate real train movement, real-world tests were conducted with trains on a metro line within Metro Istanbul. When the data obtained from the proposed model and the data from the real train motion are compared, it is observed that the RVMS can simulate real train motion with an accuracy of 98.76% in terms of time, 98.30% in terms of total energy consumption and 95.6% in terms of total regenerative energy. The developed model can be used in optimization studies of real train motion under varied constraints.
