Özet

The effects of mineral additives on the properties of mortar and concrete are well-known in the literature. The effects of calcium nitrite-containing (CN) corrosion inhibitor on granulated blast furnace slag (GBFS) mortars have been investigated in the study. The impacts of using CN-based corrosion inhibitor on the physical and mechanical properties of GBFS mortars have been experimentally examined. Cement mortar series created in the study were divided into two different groups: those containing only GBFS and those containing both GBFS and CN inhibitor. The results of the study indicate that the curing time, GBFS instead of cement, and the use of CN-based corrosion inhibitor positively improved the physical and mechanical properties of cement mortars. According to the experimental results, the best performance was obtained from the series with 10% granulated blast furnace slag and 3% CN-based corrosion inhibitor. It was observed that the series where GBFS-CN was applied together obtained better strength values compared to those where only GBFS was applied.
