Özet
Smell is one of the senses that directly affects our quality of life. The sense of smell plays a role in essential functions such as eating, avoiding danger, regulating mood, and sexuality. Despite this, there are many unknown points about the sense of smell and the objective diagnosis of smell disorders can sometimes be challenging. After mentioning the primary anatomical and physiological features of the sense of smell, this section explains the purposes and application methods of the tests used to diagnose smell disorders. In addition, it aims to present a guide to researchers in diagnosing smell disorders by referring to the most frequently used tests today.
