Abstract

© 2022 USNC-URSI.We study the time-domain field produced by a scalar point source near a flat lens (metamaterial slab) designed from complex transformation optics (CTO) principles. Such a lens can be used to launch Gaussian beams from points sources placed next to it. We provide closed-form analytical expressions and examine in particular the behavior of the solution in the limit of small gain.
