Özet

Since blowers have a higher pressure compared to ventilators, they are successfully used in pneumatic conveying systems together with air conditioners, metal melting furnaces, coolers operating at low pressure. They are preferred in the manufacturing industry for pressure increases that can be controlled at limited flow rates. Blowers have two main element which are cast body and forged impeller. The parameters used in the design of the impeller affect the operating characteristics of the air blower. Efficiency can be controlled by changing the main geometric dimensions of the blower wheel. While choosing the best blower uses the basic laws and using more than one law for an application, sometimes existing equations can be combined and used. In these air moverss, the structural condition of the inlet and the characteristics of the sucked air are effective in the outlet pressure. The level difference of the environment where the blowers operate, the temperature and specific gravity of the sucked fluid regulate the inlet conditions. While designing the facility, the analysis of different blower types and their constructions are effective in energy efficiency. The most common blower types are Positive Displacement (PD), Multistage Centrifuge (MS), and Single Stage Centrifuge (SS). In the selection of the type, the speed of the fluid in the blower, the outlet pressure, the energy requirement and the initial cost are the features to be considered. Sometimes, if more type meets the design criteria, the comparative power requirements must be considered in selecting the type. In order to reach the required flow, the number of blowers and impellers, the flow rate and the pressure it will reach must be taken into account in the optimization.
