The growing popularity and technolgy of the Internet and World Wide Web is changing eveything in our life rapidly. In the past, we spent a lot of time for daily tasks like shopping, banking, communicating, every kind of research etc. Today, we can do all of these tasks from our desktop over the internet. Today, on the web the first impression is more important then ever. If your web page has too many graphics on it, causing users to wait for the page to download, they may never get to it. In addition, if the information is out of date, users won't come back. So how do you please the user, yet keep maintenance costs down? For this question, one of the answers is Oracle 8i Database and Oracle 9i Application Server. By taking advantage of the superior scalability, reliability, and manageability of Oracle 8i Database and Oracle 9i Application Server, you design and build web based application on your existing Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) environment.
