Abstract:
A modular, reliable, economic and high performance control system for the automation of industrial systems has been designed. It is meant to minimize the hardware preparation time. The designed control system can be utilized alone in a large variety of control problems in industry as well as in the distributed control applications. Any machine or process can be controlled by this system alone. In the microcomputer controlled system, 100mmxl60mm Eurocard-size cards have been utilized. A 19-inch rack holds the motherboard and the modular cards of the system The signals on the designed control system bus are compatible with 8-bit microprocessors such as 8085, Z80, NSC800, and MC6809 as well as with 16-bit microprocessors such as MC68XXX.
