Prof. BARAN TOKAR

Baran Tokar graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1990. He completed his specialization training at Istanbul University, Department of Pediatric Surgery in 1996. Dr. Tokar has been working as a faculty since the last 25 years in Eskisehir Osmangazi University, Department of Pediatric Surgery in Turkey. Professor Tokar is currently the head of Pediatric Urology Section and the director of “Center for Computer Aided Diagnosis and Treatment in Health”. He is the member of several International and National Societies of Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Urology and Endoscopic Surgery and Professor Tokar is currently the co-chair of TEC committee of International Pediatric Endoscopic Surgeon Group, the member of “New Inovation Space Committee” and the board member of IPEG-MEC. Tokar's practice specializes in Pediatric Urology and Pediatric Endoscopic Surgery; and he has publications and research projects on these fields.  Baran Tokar is the founder and the director of a research startup with the name of “Tokart Medical Design, Research and Development Ltd.”. His other interests and works with other disciplines include Medical Illustrations & Animation, Physical and Virtual Simulators, Artificial Intelligence and Medical device development. Professor Tokar has ongoing research projects with the title of “Virtual Training Simulator for Endourology”, “ Mobile Application for Enuresis” and “Artificial Organ Models for Training in Laparoscopic Surgery and Intraluminal Procedures of Urinary Tract”.
