Inorganic Chemistry Research Laboratory

Welcome to the Inorganic Chemistry Research Group pages.

We are working on the synthesis and characterization of MOFs compounds of a range of transition, lanthanide and main group metals, from both a fundamental and applied point of view.

We are particularly interested in the following areas:

1-) Design and synthesis of new zwitterionic organic compounds and their metal complexes (Cu, Co, Mn, Zn, Cd, Zr and Ln) new coordination polymers and functional materials.

2-) Design and synthesis of new carboxylic acid, bis(imidazole) and bis(triazole) derivatives and heterocyclic polydentate ligands and their interaction with metals (Cu, Co, Mn, Zn, Cd, Zr and Ln) as new models and precursors for new materials: photochromic material, adsorbents for CO2 and luminescent compounds.

3-) Investigation on the reactivity of polydentate O-donors carboxylate towards transition metals and formation of polynuclear clusters.
