Özet

In this study, an offer has been organized on extending education of "design and production for all" to teachers working for a high school based on design and production through the methodology of "Perceptual Experience and Emotional Learning". Eskisehir Yunusemre Technical and Industrial Vocational High School was selected as a pilot study school to apply this model. Through this study, the aim was the teaching of the proper universal design criteria for disabled and elderly people who have been ignored, and creating awareness on this issue in the society. Experimental settings in "Perceptual Experience and Emotional Learning Laboratory" to be established within the framework of this project, is considered to create empathy on participants via experiencing disability. The main objective is to create consciousness on the issue of being disabled and to teach theoretically design for all criteria, with the current legislation and standards valid in the world in schools based on design and production.
