Materials Research and Innovative Devices

Welcome to Materials Research and Innovative Devices (MAYA) Group

Welcome to the official website of the MAYA Research Group, operating within the Physics Department of Eskişehir Osmangazi University. We are an innovative technology hub that bridges the theoretical depth of fundamental science with the practical power of engineering, driven by the vision of "From Material to Device."

Utilizing our advanced Semiconductor Thin Film Production and Analysis Laboratories, our group focuses on the synthesis of metal sulfide compounds, metal oxide semiconductors, and transparent conductive oxides (TCO) via physical vapor deposition (PVD) and two-stage synthesis methods. We aim to transform these high-tech materials synthesized in our laboratory into high-performance devices for strategic applications, including gas sensors, photodiodes, solar energy absorber layers, and energy storage systems (supercapacitor and battery electrodes).

Beyond our technical objectives, MAYA's primary mission is investing in human capital. We position our undergraduate and graduate students not merely as observers, but as active drivers of R&D processes. Acting as a "catalyst" in their transition to academic life, we create a space for them to become disciplined researchers who understand the technological significance of physics and are cultivated within a project-based culture.

We invite you to explore our research and join us in this exciting process where science transforms into practice and students evolve into researchers.
