Soil Science and Plant Nutrition

The Soil Science and Plant Nutrition Group is part of the Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition, Faculty of Agriculture, ESOGU. The group's research is focused on plant nutrition, nutrient dynamics in soils, and nutrient cycling in agroecosystems. Our main experience is to investigate the deficiencies and toxicity of plant nutrients through the utilization of diverse analytical techniques. To investigate the relationship between different fertilizers applications (e.g. chemical, organic and nanofertilisers) and soil-plant and yield relationships in order to enhance soil fertility and crop production. Some researchers in the research group carry out intensive research on the classification of soils, soil surveys and mapping, land use planning, remote sensing and geographical information systems, smart and precision agricultural practices, irrigation and drainage, and the appropriate and sustainable use of soil resources.
